Edge Has Been Completely Wasted In AEW

Since arriving in AEW, Adam Copeland has been a two time TNT Champion, but that is basically all he’s accomplished, which in my opinion has ...

Night Of Champions

WWE should put on this PLE once a year and have every title past and present on the line for one night only. These past titles don’t need to come back and stay but they should be defended once a year. I think it would be good to remind fans of the old titles of the past and update who the final title holders are.

Cruiserweight Championship

  • NXT Cruiserweight Championship (Purple) - Carmelo Hayes
  • WWE Cruiserweight Championship - Hornswoggle
  • WCW Cruiserweight Championship - Shane Helms
  • WWF Light Heavyweight Championship - X-Pac (Sean Waltman)

I would have the last title holders bring out the old championships. Then I would have all 4 titles put on the line in one big unification match. X-Pac could be the referee, Helms could join commentary, Hornswoggle could ring the bell, and Hayes could defend the titles. The current United States Champion would issue an open challenge for the titles, and the current Intercontinental Champion Dirty Dominic Mysterio would come out to answer the challenge, and win the match and all 4 titles. This would make Mysterio the final title holder for all 4 titles in the history books, and he could unify them all into the most recent (Purple) Cruiserweight Championship, if the WWE wished to keep it active. If so, I would have him feud with Finn Balor for the championship, and I would have Balor win the title.

Hardcore Championship

  • WWE Hardcore Championship - Rob Van Dam
  • WCW Hardcore Championship - Meng
  • ECW Championship - Ezekiel Jackson
  • ECW World Television Champion - Rhyno

Again, I would have all of the previous title holders bring those championships out to the ring. Then as all 4 stood in the ring I would have Kevin Owens music hit and he would come down to the ring and challenge all 4 to a match to unify the titles. KO would start swinging a chair as soon as the bell rang, after taking everyone out he would hit Meng with a chair shot, pin him and eliminate him. Then KO would throw RVD out of the ring and as he turned towards Jackson, Rhyno would charge at him for a spear, KO would move out of the way and Jackson would get hit, KO would then throw Rhyno out of the ring and pin and eliminate Jackson. As Rhyno charged back into the ring KO would hit him with a stunner to pin and eliminate him. RVD would jump off the top rope at a downed KO but he would roll out of the way just in time, then KO would hit RVD with his pump up powerbomb to get the pin and the win. This would make KO the last holder for all 4 titles, and the reigning Hardcore or ECW Champion.

Women’s Championship

  • WWE Divas Championship - Charlotte Flair
  • Original WWF/WWE Women's Championship - Layla
  • WCW Women's Championship - Devil Masami

Most won’t know that WCW ever had a Woman’s Championship, but apparently they did. So I would bring out that title, as well as the original black WWF Women’s Championship and of course the butterfly Diva’s Championship. Charlotte Flair would defend the titles in a unification match and I think the challenger should be Tiffany Stratton, who should go on to win the match and become the final holder of all 3 titles.

Million Dollar Championship - Cameron Grimes

Grimes apparently gave the title back to Ted DiBiase so rather than have a match, I would have Logan Paul come out and purchase the title from DiBiase, making Paul the new Million Dollar Man. Grimes could then come out and challenge him to a match for the title he never lost, only to have Paul win the match. Then I would have Paul in a feud with LA Knight for the title.

WCW World Television Championship - "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan

This was always such a bad ending for this title. Scott Hall won the title but then threw it in the trash can backstage. That’s where Duggan found the title, so he never actually won it. Before this it was a somewhat prestigious title in WCW and deserves a better ending. So I would have Duggan come out and present the title to Cody Rhodes making him the last to hold the title.

WWE European Championship - Jeff Hardy

In the main event of the evening, I would have Jeff Hardy make his shocking return to the WWE bringing out the infamous European Championship. In a surprising turn of events it would be Jeff Hardy that issues the challenge not the other way around. Hardy would call out WWE Champion Drew MacIntrye and say he knows how badly he wants to hold the European Championship, so Hardy would offer him the opportunity if Drew would put his WWE Championship on the line in a title vs title main event. Drew accepts and the main event is set. Of course Drew would win the match and retain his title and become a double champion holding the WWE and European Championships.

WWE Update February 2026

The WWE needs to do damage control and salvage whatever is left of The Vision. So many injuries in that group, the only ones left are Logan Paul and Austin Theory. So for that reason, I would have the two of them team up to challenge the Usos for the Raw Tag-Team Championships at Elimination Chamber and have them win the belts to at least give that group some credibility.

Another group that I think is falling apart is The Judgement Day, and in this case I think the group has run its course so it's time to blow it up once and for all. I think the best way to do that would be to have Finn Balor challenge Dirty Dom for the IC title and I would have Balor win. I would also have the Demon version of Balor come out for this match, which should take place at WrestleMania.

I think it's a foregone conclusion that Oba Femi will accept the open challenge from Brock Lesnar. Cody Rhodes will win the Elimination Chamber and go on to challenge Drew for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania. And of course, Roman Reigns is challenging CM Punk. Those are the big main events for WrestleMania. Liv is challenging for the Women’s World Championship, so that means the winner of the Elimination Chamber will challenge for the WWE Women’s Championship, and I think the winner will be Tiffany. I don’t think these are overly exciting match ups to be honest.

Meanwhile, who is going to face Gunther at WrestleMania? He is easily the hottest heel in wrestling right  now after ending the careers of John Cena and AJ styles this year. Yet he isn’t in a major feud going into WrestleMania. Doesn’t this seem like a huge missed opportunity? What if he faced Randy Orton and got Orton to put his career on the line at WrestleMania! John Cena could come out in Orton’s corner or to make the save and help him win. I think Orton’s career is the next likely one to put on the line, but I don’t think it's time for him to retire yet, so he should win the match.

The last issue that I think needs to be addressed is LA Knight. He is so over right now yet the WWE doesn’t seem to want to pull the trigger and make him a champion. I don’t get it. He could easily win the Elimination Chamber and go on to challenge Drew for the WWE Championship and the fans would love it. If not that, he could win any other title, like the United States Championship for example. He needs something big at WrestleMania otherwise they are wasting him completely.

Should The WWE Put On A WCW Event?

Is there still any interest in anything related to WCW? If the WWE held a WCW event now would it draw an extra interest? Imagine if next week when you tuned into Monday Night Raw the set was the old WCW Nitro set and it was as if you had gone back in time to the old Monday Night Wars and you were watching Monday Nitro… wouldn’t that be exciting?

Remember that one failed night when this was attempted, when Buff Bagwell had that infamously bad match with Booker T in the main event of Monday Night Raw, and as a result all future WCW ideas were cancelled? Well what if they gave that another chance now. They could use the retro Nitro night as a chance to announce the next upcoming PLE would be WCW Starcade rather than another generic WWE event.

The event should be held in an old WCW territory, such as Atlanta or Charlotte. They should try to feature as many old WCW stars as possible, and they could feature matches for all of the old WCW Championships as a throwback to the old WCW days.

WCW Cruiserweight Championship

When WCW folded in 2001 the last holder of the Cruiserweight Championship was Shane Helms, however, once in the WWE Billy Kidman defeated him for the title. Then technically, the last wrestler to hold that title was Hornswoggle. In order to correct this, I would have Rey Mysterio come out and challenge for the title. He could face either Helms or Kidman or both, with Hornswoggle possibly getting involved. This could ultimately set up a great match between Rey and Dominic for Rey to pass this torch to his son!

WCW Hardcore Champion

Meng was the last official WCW Hardcore Champion. Seems like it should have been Fit Finlay or Norman Smiley. They are the two I tend to think of when I remember that title. I would love to see the title brought back for one night and have Meng drop the title to Smiley so that he could have a match with R-Truth. I think this would be a hilarious match because Smiley was the most comedic wrestler in WCW in my opinion.

WCW Television Champion

"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan was the final WCW World Television Champion. This was done as a real joke as Scott Hall had thrown the title in the garbage and Duggan had found it when he was working as a janitor. This title deserves a much better ending. When I think of this title I think of some bad wrestlers like Disco Inferno, but I also think of big stars like Chris Jericho and Diamond Dallas Page. So for the sake of this title I would love to see someone like DDP come out and hit the Diamond Cutter on Duggan to win this title.

WCW World Tag Team Championship

The last wrestlers to hold the WCW World Tag Team Championship were The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley). The last wrestlers to hold the WCW Cruiserweight Tag Team Championship were Billy Kidman and Rey Mysterio Jr., known together as part of The Filthy Animals. I would have both sets of titles on the line in a triple threat match with the current TNA Tag Team Champions The Hardy Boyz. I would have the Hardy Boyz win the match and all the titles.

WCW United States Championship

Edge (Adam Copeland) was the last wrestler to hold the WCW United States Championship, defeating Kurt Angle on the November 12, 2001, episode of Raw. However, on the final episode of Nitro it was Booker T. I think it would be really fitting if the American Nightmare Cody Rhodes came out and challenged for this title, ideally from a returning Edge. That would be incredible. Kurt Angle could be his corner, or his brother.

WCW World Heavyweight Champion

Booker T was the final WCW World Heavyweight Champion, winning the title on the last episode of WCW Monday Nitro on March 26, 2001, by defeating Scott Steiner. They should include other WCW World Champions as well, legends like: Ric Flair, Sting, Goldberg, Kevin Nash, and DDP as well all in attendance to be honoured that night. Then have the current WWE World Champion CM Punk come out to defend his title against a returning Seth Rollins, and the winner also gets the WCW ‘Big Gold’ belt. Punk wins!
