ReWriting The Royal Rumble Aftermath

 

World Championship

The Royal Rumble did not turn out as I had hoped. Going into this event I had hoped AJ Styles would win his match so he wouldn’t need to retire and would therefore get to have another match with CM Punk. I had also hoped that Finn Balor would ultimately be allowed to compete in the Rumble match and could then win the match to be added to that main event at WrestleMania, making it a triple threat match: CM Punk vs AJ Styles vs Finn Balor. 

This could still happen. I would book an Elimination Chamber match for the World Championship. CM Punk would defend his title against 5 of wrestlers, not including Finn Balor because he would be waiting for his shot at WrestleMania. The chamber would include: CM Punk, Jey Uso, Damien Priest, Bron Breakker, Logan Paul, and Gunther. However, as Gunther made his way to enter the chamber last, AJ Styles ran out and attacked him, smashing his head into the open chamber door, cutting him open, leaving him knocked out and unable to continue. AJ Styles would then run into the chamber, closing the door behind him to start the match, This would shock and delight the crowd. Then AJ Styles would go on to win the match and the World Championship, sending him to defend the title in the main event of WrestleMania, against CM Punk who deserves a rematch, and Finn Balor who won the Royal Rumble. 

In their main event match at WrestleMania, I would have Demon Finn Balor win the match and the World Championship by defeating both AJ Styles and CM Punk. Then if AJ Styles really does wish to retire he could announce his own retirement the following night on Raw. 

Million Dollar Championship 

Meanwhile, I would have Logan Paul taking over as the leader of The Vision. He would ask Paul Heyman if “he’s here” referring to a surprise guest he has invited to Monday Night Raw. Heyman would say yes and they would go to the ring to meet with him. It would be the Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiease. Logan Paul would arrange to purchase the Million Dollar Championship from him, passing the torch and making The Maverick the new Million Dollar Man / Champion. 

Logan Paul would then announce that with his new belt he would require security and a bodyguard. He would offer the job to Bron Breakker would take it as an insult and storm off. So ultimately the bodyguard role would go to Bronson Reed instead. At this point, Logan Paul would tell Austin Theory and Paul Heyman he no longer needed The Vision because he had a vision of his own. He would then add a new manager of his own, a female from NXT most likely Blake Monroe, who would become his ‘agent.’ 

I would then have Logan Paul go on to win the Money In The Bank match at WrestleMania taking home the briefcase, making him all but sure to be the next World Champion… who after WrestleMania would be Finn Balor, who would be in a long running feud with CM Punk, and most likely a returning Seth Rollins. 

Intercontinental Championship

I would have LA Knight defeat Dominic Mysterio to win the Intercontinental Championship. Liv Morgan would turn on Dirty Dom and help LA Knight win the match and she would leave with him. LA Knight would then go into a huge feud with Logan Paul. Ultimately building to a huge match at Backlash, where LA Knight would put the Intercontinental Championship on the line against Logan Paul’s new Million Dollar Championship. LA Knight would win and take both, but then Logan Paul would offer him a rematch, and put the Money In The Bank briefcase on the line, winner takes all match, and win back his Million Dollar Championship, and the Intercontinental Championship. 

Women’s Royal Rumble Winner

I would not have Liv Morgan challenge Stephanie Vaquer. Instead, I would have Tiffany Stratton defeat Jade Cargill in her rematch, then I would have Liv Morgan challenge Tiffany Stratton at WrestleMania. Meanwhile, I would have Rhea Ripley lose the Women’s Tag Team Championships, then turn around and challenge Stephanie Vaquer for the Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania. At WrestleMania I would also have the Bella Twins win the Women’s Tag Team Championships.
